Earlier this week, Breaking Wrestling News brought you the story about CM Punk’s MMA debut being postponed. The former WWE Champion announced that he has to undergo back surgery.
The postponement comes days after it was announced Punk would be facing UFC newcomer Mickey Gall. Now comes word from another fighter, UFC middleweight fighter Michael Bisping, that Punk has had some trouble with his training.
Bisping said in a recent interview on Sirius XM Radio that Punk had brought in 16 ‘smokers’ to the gym. Smokers are test fighters who put a competitor through the paces of a real fight situation. According to Bisping, Punk lost to 15 of those smokers.
This update coupled with Punk’s upcoming surgery have both fight fans and wrestling fans wondering if the Straight-Edge Savior will ever actually make it into the cage.
